Height Requirements:
Residential: Minimum 36" (900 mm)
Commercial/Public: Minimum 42" (1070 mm)
Opening Limitations:
Gaps must not exceed 4" (100 mm) to prevent child entrapment
Load Requirements:
Must resist 0.75 kN/m horizontal load (OBC Reference: 4.1.5.14)
Structural Integrity:
Engineered to withstand weather exposure and long-term wear
